Futuristic Heritage Knitwear

Futuristic Heritage which showcased some 20 works - was a major focus at the Knitwear Solutions area during the Premiere Vision trade fair in Paris in February this year.
It was an installation of knitwear designs specially selected to showcase the ingenuity and innovative designs by some of Europe's great designers - which  provided proof that it is as important to look to design heritage that shapes our past and provides the foot-print of modern design ideas.

This installation was organised by Federico Poletti in collaboration with the international centre for Italian fashion documentation, Archivio Modateca Deanna, and Francesca Fornasari.
Here a selection of the knitwear designers that continue to exert their influence on today's fashion and their striking designs.
